The John Marshall Class of 1955 had a senior student by the name of Dorothy
Meyers. Now, almost 65 years later, her granddaughter, Jeanne Ambriz, is the
current Principal. After graduating high school, Dorothy attended St. John’s College, then got married to John Rumsey, who became a Lutheran Minister. They had 5 children
and served churches in Illinois, Florida, Los Angeles and San Diego. She got her post-graduate degree from San Diego State University and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and is still practicing some today. Dorothy and husband John (married 63 years) have recently moved from San Diego, CA, to Guthrie, OK, to be close to family.
Jeanne is 1 of 14 grandchildren and her sons are 2 of 11 great grand children (so far).
