Nichols Hills Methodist Puts in a Mini Grocery Store in JM for Students

Writer's picture: JMHS BLOGGERJMHS BLOGGER

For several years, Nichols Hills Methodist church has been working with the Regional Food Bank of OKC to feed the John Marshall MS & HS students. Now that JM is a high school, the needs have changed, so Stephanie Henry and her volunteer workers come twice a week allowing students to not only take items they need, but also pick out meals for their families. The church donates a lot of extra items that do not come from the food bank. We now have alumni that donate to the pantry and thanks to Annette Leesekamp, we are now receiving

a weekly delivery of day old bread. The plan is to add the middle school as soon as they can find a room to house the food.
